This plan provides Fenland with a framework of detailed, local land use planning policies. It also provides extensive opportunities for new residential and industrial development while opening up the possibility for further retail and recreational developments.

It includes policies aimed at protecting Fenland's unique countryside from unnecessary and visually intrusive developments and safeguarding the character of Fenland's attractive towns and villages.
